I love Spring because of flowers, melting snow, color, and fresh air.
I love summer because of the warm weather, green grass, pool parties, and ice cream.
I love fall because of sweaters, outdoor fires, changing leaves, and hayrides.
But I love winter because it is the only time I have an excuse to cozy up in a warm blanket, light a fire, and watch a good movie.

The winter is very necessary for rest. I know that when the weather breaks I'll feel completely wiped out for about two weeks as I adjust to all of the outdoor activity. Winter gives us a few outdoor snowman making days, but mostly it's inside cuddly hot chocolate restful times.

My favorite thing about winter is the sound. It sounds so quiet, even when there's hustle and bustle about. I've written poems about it. The crunch of the snow under your boots, snowflakes falling on your hood. I basically hate winter with a passion, but it's the only season of silence. So peaceful.

I hate winter. I gain weight in winter. I don't like coats and hats and gloves and boots, and scarfs, that's so much work, especially with little ones who can't zipper. But you asked what I like about winter? Watching the first snow fall.
